The entire community is invited to view the works of locally-prominent African-American artists during the "Meet the Artists" exhibit, beginning February 1 and continuing through March 23 at Central Library, 40 E. St. Clair Street. The exhibit will feature works from 15 artists in a variety of artistic mediums throughout Central Library surrounding the theme, "World Outside My Window: A Silver Soiree."

Meet and view the works of this year's participating artists and enjoy an evening of cultural entertainment during this free event. In addition to music, magic, poetry and fashion performances, notable African-American authors will sign and sell copies of their books. Also, print artist Donald Walter will display and sell his works.

This year's "Meet the Artists" exhibit, which is open for viewing during regular Central Library hours, and the gala celebration are sponsored by the Library's African-American History Committee.
