This program will be led by experts from the Indiana Writers Center. The initiative is intended to explore the complexities of scientific discovery, the practice of science and its role in society. It has been made possible in part by a major grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities and a grant from The Indianapolis Foundation, a CICF afflilate, and is presented in partnership with the Indiana State Library and Indiana Center for the Book.

The topic for this program is "It's Alive! Electricity, Cinema and Metaphor in Frankenstein." Examine how the invention of electricity birthed the interconnected lives of Frankenstein and cinema during this program led by Professor Matthew Weedman.
