Teen Read Week: Create Your Own Duct Tape Sketch Book
Age Level: Teen (12-17)
As part of Teen Read Week, teens are invited to create a place to sketch and dream by designing a handmade sketch book with a duct tape cover. This workshop will be presented by Art With a Heart.
Age Level: Adults
Adults can receive free legal advice through one-on-one consultations with qualified, licensed attorneys who are members of the Indianapolis Bar Association. For those unable to attend, call 269-2000 between 2 - 8 p.m. to speak with an attorney. This community service event is sponsored by the Indianapolis Bar Association and Indianapolis Bar Foundation, in cooperation with The Indianapolis Public Library and Indianapolis Public Schools.
Super You: Make the World a Better Place - Preschool Philanthropy Workshop
Age Level: Preschool (3-5)
Preschoolers ages 3 - 6 and an adult are invited to explore the superpowers they have to make the world a better place. The Youth Philanthropy Initiative of Indiana will lead stories and activities. Participants will create their own super hero and identify how superpowers can help others. This program is sponsored by PNC and The Indianapolis Public Library Foundation.
Age Level: Preschool (3-5), School Age (6-11), Families
Families with small children are invited for a fun and interactive bilingual storytime that encourages literacy to all people in all languages. This program is presented in partnership with the Immigrant Welcome Center and is sponsored by PNC and The Indianapolis Public Library Foundation.
Age Level: Toddlers (2 years), Preschool (3-5)
Children 6 years old and younger and an adult are invited to learn about and make friends with some often misunderstood animals during this interactive program presented by Silly Safaris.
Age Level: Preschool (3-5), School Age (6-11)
Children ages 5 and up, along with moms and dads, are invited to try out beginning yoga moves with instructor Alicia Oskay. Attendees are invited to bring a mat, if they have one. However, a few will be provided.
