Children ages 5 and up are invited to join ceramic artist Sarah Tirey for an hour-long, hands-on experience in clay. They'll discover more about clay and help mix a special batch of Indiana clay to take home. Participants will help transform the recipe into a clay piece on the potter's wheel.

Children of all ages and families are invited to meet up to five live animals during this presentation by Animalia. What creatures lived in your backyard 200 years ago? Discuss Hoosier animals then and now, their adaptability and neighborly co-existence. This program is made possible by Louise Lage Kirtland and Hugh C. Kirtland, a fund of The Indianapolis Foundation, and Friends of the Library through gifts to The Indianapolis Public Library Foundation.
With room capacity of 60 individuals, attendees are asked to arrive at 10 a.m. and take one number for each person who will be attending in order to reserve spaces for this popular program.
