Bestselling teen and young adult author Sarah Dessen will discuss her works and career. She is the author of twelve novels, including "Someone Like You," "Just Listen," "The Moon and More," and her most recent, "Saint Anything." Many of her works have been among the American Library Association’s “Best Fiction for Young Adults” selections, including her first novel in 1996, "That Summer." Her 2009 book, "Along for the Ride," earned a spot on the New York Times Bestseller list. The 2003 film, "How to Deal" starring Mandy Moore, was based on both "Someone Like You" and "That Summer." In 1999, "Someone Like You" was one of two winners of the School Library Best Book award, and the following year her book, "Keeping the Moon," was the sole winner. Book sales provided by Kids Ink and autographing will follow her presentation.

Patrons can drop in anytime during this two-hour visit by the Library's traveling eBook Tinker Station, which is staffed by an eReader expert who can answer questions about the equipment and collection. The Station provides reliable and unbiased information about this growing technology. The Tinker Helpline is also available to call for answers to your questions at 275-4500. This service is made possible by The Indianapolis Foundation Library Fund and Friends of the Library through gifts to The Indianapolis Public Library Foundation.

Patrons are invited to learn how to select and use eReaders, as well as search and download materials from the Library's extensive collection of eBooks, audiobooks and digital music. Patrons can drop in anytime during this two-hour visit by the Library's traveling eBook Tinker Station, which is staffed by an eReader expert who can answer questions about the equipment and collection. The Station provides reliable and unbiased information about this growing technology. The Tinker Helpline is also available to call for answers to your questions at 275-4500. This service is made possible by The Indianapolis Foundation Library Fund and Friends of the Library through gifts to The Indianapolis Public Library Foundation.
