East Thirty-Eighth Street 10th Anniversary!

The entire community is invited to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the East Thirty-Eighth Street Branch. In addition to information from community vendors, activities will include storytelling, face painting, twisty balloons, animals by Silly Safari, crafts, food and door prizes. A performance by the percussion group CLANG and short skit by the Ashanti Children's Theatre also will be featured. Children can sign up for the Summer Reading Program, and teens can sign up for a summer art project. Be sure to join us for other special activities in celebration of 10 wonderful years! | |||

Neighborhood Disaster Resiliency and Citizen CPR

Learn how to cope with a disaster and protect yourself, your family and your neighborhood during this workshop presented by the American Red Cross of Greater Indianapolis. The workshop, which will include training in hands-only CPR, will show how to prepare in advance if basic services, such as water, gas, electricity and communications, were cut off. It will also show how to work with those in your support network, including family, friends and neighbors, as a team. | |||
