2015 Hometown Roots Concert Series

Individuals of all ages are invited to this series of performances inspired by American musical traditions. This series, held in the Clowes Auditorium at Central Library, is made possible by BMO Harris Bank and Friends of the Library through gifts to The Indianapolis Public Library Foundation. This program will feature separate performances by the Indy Winds Flute Choir and the Indianapolis Saxophone Quartet. Combining the entire flute family from piccolo to contra bass flute to present the best in classical works and other genres, the Indy Winds Flute choir is comprised of local flutists and is directed by Laura Dubish. The Indianapolis Saxophone Quartet commands a wide variety of repertoire, from jazz to classical. Group members include Nicholas Brightman, soprano saxophone; Cheri Brightman, alto saxophone; Kathryn Spangler, tenor saxophone; and Karl Hartman, baritone saxophone.
