2015 Hometown Roots Concert Series

Individuals of all ages are invited to this series of performances inspired by American musical traditions. This series, held in the Clowes Auditorium at Central Library, is made possible by BMO Harris Bank and Friends of the Library through gifts to The Indianapolis Public Library Foundation. Join the Gordon Bonham Blues Band and former Indiana Poet Laureate Norbert Krapf for a performance entitled, "Poetry in the Key of Blues." They will pool their talents to troll the depths of the common origins of song and poem with a blues base. Subjects to be celebrated include Woody Guthrie, Robert Johnson, Leadbelly, B.B. King, Bob Dylan, African-American poet Etheridge Knight, and Yank Rachell, in whose band Bonham played.
