Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
- How can I find Library materials about TV shows?
- There are so many that the catalog divides Television Programs into several categories. To browse the list, use the online catalog and choose alphabetical in the tabs at the top of the page. From the dropdown box, choose subject browse and type "television programs" into the search box. Hit go. You'll see hundreds of listings and can browse to find whatever you're looking for.
- When will television stations stop broadcasting in analog, and broadcast only in digital? Are there any websites that provide information about this?
- All remaining full-power television stations still broadcasting in analog will make the transition to all-digital between April 16 and June 12. As of February 17, 2009, about one-third of the nation's full-power TV stations had already gone all-digital. The Federal Communications Commission has a page on this subject at http://www.dtv.gov/. Another government site, https://www.dtv2009.gov/, provides information about how to obtain a converter box. And http://www.civilrights.org/dtv/ is another site that might be of help.
